How to book

Please fill in the “Get in touch” form at the bottom of this page. Once we have received your form it will take up to 48 hours for us to get back to you in order to chat further about your dates and give you a final quote. We will give you all relevant information to your booking by email and send you a private deposit payment link to secure your booking.

Pricing

The price for two weeks is 950€ and for one week is 750€. Extra guests at 100€ per person per week.

The price includes exclusive access to the Archive, Jacaranda Design Archive’s studio space with basic materials, the two bedroom house, the barn, a welcome hamper, heating, hot water, electricity, use of shared pool and private onsite parking.

Deposits, cancellation and refunds

To book a retreat with us, firstly you will need to pay a 300€ non-refundable deposit to hold your dates. Payment in full is required eight weeks prior to your date of arrival. We understand that travel plans may change. If you need to cancel please give us as much notice as possible. We will try our best to reschedule your retreat. Please make sure you have travel and health insurance to cover the cost of cancellation and in case of emergencies.

We are sure you will understand our need to protect the Archive. Our collection contains pieces dating from the early eighteenth century and have been passed down over three generations. As a measure of security, a refundable deposit of 200€ will be added to your final invoice. It will be returned to you within a week after the end of your stay, provided that the house, the Archive and the grounds are left as you found them.

Travel

Maison Jacaranda lives here: Peumenier (Lieu-dit), 86290 Journet, France

We are located in central France, in the Vienne region, about ten minutes from Montmorillon and about an hour from Poitiers and Limoges. The property is nestled in the hamlet of Peumenier on the D120 between Journet and La Trimouille. The house is the first on the right after the Salleron bridge if you are coming from Journet, or the first on the left coming from La Trimouille. Add the address or coordinates into your GPS.

The closest airports are Poitiers (one hour from the house) and Limoges (at about 1h20 minutes from the house).

The closest train station is Montmorillon which connects you to Limoges and Poitiers. TER regional trains come to this station every day. The closest TGV station is Poitiers or Limoges.

The closest ferry ports are Caen and Dieppe. If you wish to drive down via ferry from the UK we are approximately five hours from most ferry ports. The Eurotunnel in Calais is approximately seven hours from the house by car

We are happy to provide help with your airport/train station collection by taxi, if needed. If you do not speak any French we can help arrange car rentals before your arrival. Please get in touch if you need guidance at studio@jacarandadesignarchive.com.

Upcoming availability

We are open from the 21st May to 21st November. The Creative Textile Retreat can be booked in two-week time slots. Single weeks are available when possible.
